Technology has made photomicroscopy much easier than in the past, but accurate and detailed images still require patience, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of the photographic process. Taking pictures through a microscope presents a number of unique challenges over other kinds of photography. When done right it creates images that are not only important scientific documentation, but are also beautiful images in their own right.
