3-D Version of Beatles' 'Yellow Submarine' To Shoot In April 2011, Says Star Cary Elwes

Disney announced in March that it plans to shut down Robert Zemeckis' digital animation studio. Apparently "A Christmas Carol" — and its lackluster domestic box office showing — will be one of the studio's swan songs (get excited for "Mars Needs Moms," people!). Yet the closure, so it seems, will have no bearing on the [...]

Lord of the Rings symphony--By Kristen Shalbinkski

"The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" returned to the silver screen at Radio City Music Hall this October 8 and 9 for a special two-night-only engagement. The best part? The screenings featured a live symphony orchestra playing the entire score along with the movie. Ludwig Wicki conducted the orchestra, which included over 300 musicians from the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra, the Brooklyn Youth Choir and Dessoff Symphonic Choir.

Now after seeing the film with live musical accompaniment, I have to say this is what a 3-D movie should be like. Forget about cool special effects jumping out at you. Having the orchestra perched directly beneath the screen and playing the score to perfection added another layer of emotion to the film to accompany the already eye-popping 2-D visuals. The "Two Towers" soundtrack is amazing alone, but hearing it performed live in person gives you a greater appreciation for both the music and the movie.

At certain points during the film, I found that I was completely focused on the orchestra, and at other times I forgot that they were even there because the music was so on point. I even got the chills during the film, especially feeling the music's effect during the scenes in Rohan, Helm's Deep and Forth Eorlingas when Gandalf, Éomer and the Rohirim come charging down on the Orcs at Helm's Deep. Everyone in the audience was clapping and cheering during these moments and throughout the entire film.

After the end credits concluded, Ludwig Wicki and the rest of the orchestra received a standing ovation. And the crowd rose to its feet once again when the man himself, Howard Shore -- who composed the music for all three films -- came out on stage to thunderous applause.

For any fan of the "Lord of the Rings" or of great orchestral music... or both, this was a night that will not be soon forgotten. So plan ahead and remember to get tickets to "Return of the King," which will hit Radio City with a live symphony orchestra next year.

Will you be lining up to see "Return of the King" with a live symphony orchestra next year?

celine-dion-gives-birth-to-twins.jpg

Céline Dion has received the greatest reward!

The singer gave birth to fraternal twin boys via C-section on Saturday morning at a Florida hospital.

One of the boys weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., and the other weighed 5 lbs., 10 oz.

While the twins are healthy, Céline's rep says that they will spend the next few days in an incubator because they were born premature.

The rep released a statement:

"Céline, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled. René-Charles has been to the hospital to visit his brothers and is just so excited they are here. Céline is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up."

So exciting! We just hope those little bbs get to their normal weight as soon as possible!

Congratulations to Céline and René!

Moms & Babies - People.com

Courtesy of Rosie Pope

As if her super chic maternity line and MomPrep classes weren’t enough, London-born Rosie Pope is starring in her very own reality series, Pregnant in Heels, which debuts on Bravo at the end of this year.

Now the trusted maternity style guru can share all her fashion knowledge with moms-to-be everywhere.

Before Pope embarked on a career helping pregnant women stay well-dressed, she was a ballet dancer and successful fashion model, gracing the pages of Italian Vogue and posing for photographer Steven Miesel.

She even studied neuroscience at Columbia University.

But it wasn’t until she created Rosie Pope Maternity in 2008 after having a hard time finding fashionable pieces during her own pregnancy that she found her true calling.

And we’re happy she did.

Pope, who lives happily in N.Y.C. with her husband, Daron, and son, J.R., reveals the top five items every expectant mom should have. Check them out below.

Over-the-belly black leggings. Ladies, these comfy bottoms are your best friend at every stage of your pregnancy and even on the ride to the delivery room! They look great with everything — silk tunic, chunky cardigan or slouchy boyfriend sweater. Trust me, no pregnant woman can survive without them.

Moms & Babies Picks:

A Pea in the Pod‘s Secret Fit Belly Cropped Legging, $38 (left)

Petit Bateau‘s Women’s Maternity Leggings, $55

ASSETS by Sara Blakely‘s Marvelous Mama Lucky Leggings, $18

Classic tank. Be sure to stock your wardrobe with long tanks in neutral colors (white, black and grey). They’ll streamline your new curves and give your growing bump some support. Plus pairing them with leggings and a chunky cardigan make for an excellent weekend outfit.

Moms & Babies Picks:

Gap Maternity‘s Essential Tank, $19.50 (left)

LOFT‘s Maternity Basic Tank, $19.50

Forever 21‘s Basic Seamless Maternity Tank, $12.80

Great-fitting maternity jeans. Don’t choose your style based on pre-pregnancy brand loyalty. Make sure to try on all the available maternity denim out there and buy the pair that fits your body best. And despite what people may tell you, the right fit should last your entire pregnancy. They’ll also come in handy in the weeks after delivery before you can fit back into your non-pregnancy jeans.

Moms & Babies Picks:

Forever 21‘s 5-Pocket Maternity Jeggings II, $17.80 (left)

Gap Maternity‘s No Panel Cropped Skinny Jeans, $30

Loved By Heidi Klum‘s Under Belly Super Stretch Slim Leg Maternity Jeans, $40

Dress up, dress down dress. Find a style you can wear to work, out to brunch or on a play date, but that’s perfect for date night with the addition of some gorgeous accessories and some wedge heels (they’re more kind to pregnant feet). And the less frills, the better. You can get away with wearing it more than once in a week and nobody will be the wiser.

Moms & Babies Picks:

Motherhood Maternity‘s 3/4 Sleeve Faux Wrap Maternity Dress, $30 (left)

ASOS Maternity‘s Bell Sleeve Shift Dress, $23.59

A Pea in the Pod‘s Elbow Sleeve Rosette Details Maternity Dress, $60

The Baby Shower dress. This should be your splurge piece and while you will probably only wear it once or twice (perhaps to a wedding or two), this is your special moment and you deserve to look fabulous. So go on and treat yourself.

- Victoria Beckham to Marie Claire on her and David's friendship with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Gurl seems to have a penchant for boys with pretty faces!

Faster than you can say 'rebound,' Rumer Willis has apparently moved on from ex-fiancee Micah Alberti to Glee's resident newbie, Chord Overstreet!

The two were spotted holding hands (above) at "An Evening Affair" event hosted by Seth MacFarlane!

Inneresting! Maybe she's trying to get herself a guest spot on Glee!

Someone should tell her that she doesn't have to date her way onto the show, though! They'll take any remotely famous person and give them AT LEAST a two-episode arc!

Rose McGowan And Rachel Nichols Go Barbaric In New 'Conan' Photos

The pictures we've seen of "Conan" so far seem to prove beyond a doubt that the reboot starring Jason Momoa has the potential for greatness, and that Momoa definitely has the look to step into Arnold Schwarzenegger's sandals as the epic barbarian. New images that have hit the net courtesy of Bleeding Cool give us [...]

Tom Cruise in Top GunIf you suddenly, inexplicably feel the need for speed, the urge to belt out "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" in a bar... or the strange inkling to play beach volleyball in jeans, there's a reason: Paramount Pictures officially wants to reunite Tom Cruise, director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for "Top Gun 2."

Vulture has learned that Paramount has already extended offers to Scott and Bruckheimer to start turning and burning on a sequel to the 1986 classic, and the studio has Oscar-winning screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie ("The Usual Suspects") in its sights to pen the script. Cruise, meanwhile, is said to have agreed to return as hotshot naval aviator Maverick in a small role, provide it's not too "obvious" -- e.g. Mav playing a version of Tom Skerrit's battle-hardened instructor from the original.

If that news takes your breath away (yes, we went there), you might want to sit down. Not only does Paramount want a "Top Gun" sequel; they're thinking franchise. This all sounds great, but just how feasible is it that this puppy will get off the tarmac?

Actually, pretty feasible. At a junket for "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" this summer, Bruckheimer confirmed that he'd been "recently approached again to start talking about [a sequel]." His biggest hangup: "The aviation community has completely changed since we made the movie a long time ago." The change Jer-Jer was referring to is that pilots these days aren't so much trained in the graceful art of dog-fighting as they are in the explosive practice of bomb-dropping.

But a source close to the project tells Vulture that McQuarrie has found a way around this potential deal-breaker, as well as a way to incorporate Maverick into the story that doesn't suck. The fact that McQuarrie is pals with Cruise and that he's got a hot hand in Hollywood right now -- his script for "Wolverine 2" is rumored to kick adamantium ass -- could mean that "Top Gun 2" gets cleared for a big-screen flyby very soon. Sounds like it's time to buzz the tower.

Is a "Top Gun" sequel a good idea? What would be a good story, and how does Maverick fit in? Tell us in the comments!

Wedding DJs - Music On The Dance Floor

A reception is a great event of your life after your wedding. It is as special as your wedding. You have made suitable arrangements to make it a memorable event. Without music any function is incomplete. You make so many arrangements for your wedding reception, to arrange for music is one of them. To hire a DJ for your wedding reception is as important as other tasks. Music adds more enjoyment and magic to the evening. Music can create happiness and joy in the occasion. When you choose a wedding reception DJ you have to keep in mind the theme of the party. It is very important as people with different tastes will come to your wedding reception party and you have to make them all happy. Ask your DJ if he has a list of the selected songs for the wedding reception so that it will be easy for you to choose the best ones for your party and also to add of your choice. Make a list of all the songs that you want to play at your wedding reception and a list of any "do-not-play" songs you might hate hearing.

It’s time again to honor our brave soldiers. Back again this year with stars like Katy Perry is 2010’s “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops!” Many wonderful women (and some men) have participated over the years and they are making this year’s extra special! You can get the full story, with pictures of the singers and videos of some performers below.

VH1 Divas 1

The show will take place at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and will be broadcast internationally. The acts there will include Perry, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj and Sugarland. Also, as a special treat, Paramore will be singing live at one base in the Middle East. You won’t want to miss this event.

This annual concert started back in 1998 with singers including Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin. It became and every year thing until 2005 when there was no show for 5 years. Last year the music channel restarted “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops” with Jennifer Hudson & Stevie Wonder. It seems that they are looking to make 2010’s bigger and better.

Katy Perry and “gang” will perform in San Diego and it will be broadcast on December 5, 2010. We also know that the group Paramore will be at an unknown base performing for military reservists presumably at the same time. The performers were announced Thursday, but other than when, where and who, we don’t know much about the actual event. Those in charge promise that it will be one special night, though.

They do have a dedicate website that should be updated with more information soon. I am interested to see the show, but am even happier that “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops” is back in 2010. What a great thing! What are your thoughts on the acts for this year and what surprises we may see? Leave me your comments below after you check out these photos and video.

Mackenzie Foy: Renesmee in ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’

The rumors are true this time! After much speculation it looks like we will see a movie with Mackenzie Foy! Renesmee is the character she will play, who is Edward and Bella’s love child. This is all very new, so for the full story, with more photos and videos, keep reading below.

Carly Henley, an aspiring singer and student at University of Washington is reportedly dead. Her body was discovered in a stairwell yesterday (Wednesday, October 6, 2010). The cause of her death is still unknown. Read more below.

Carly Henley

The circumstances surrounding the 20-year-olds death are still a mystery, but here’s what we can tell you. Yesterday afternoon a bystander walking through the parking lot in back of the Phi Delta Theta frat house discovered Henley’s body. The bystander immediately called 911, and shortly after police arrived at the scene.

More details were released today about the tragic incident via UW’s student paper. Henley’s body was actually discovered in a stairwell, but how she died is still under investigation. Currently there is evidence suggesting that this could possibly be a suicide, but authorities still have her death listed as “suspicious”, according to Seattle Weekly.

As a biography, Carly Henley died at the young age of 20. She was an aspiring singer/songwriter, and described herself as having a “passion for music”. She frequently used the social networking sites MySpace, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to share her music with people. Her last video upload on YouTube was a Gavin Degraw cover of “Chariot” on September 3. The bio portion on her twitter accounts says, “Singer/songwriter from Seattle who’s in love with the world!”

Her second to last tweet was on August 31st. It reads:

“I love rainy days…so perfect for staying inside all day and playing guitar”

This is such a shame. She was a tremendously talented girl with a lot of life ahead of her. I truly hope that authorities get to the bottom of this.

We offer you our comment section to leave your condolences.

Find a pictures and acoustic performance videos by Carly Henley of “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Free Fallin” below.
