The circumstances surrounding the 20-year-olds death are still a mystery, but here’s what we can tell you. Yesterday afternoon a bystander walking through the parking lot in back of the Phi Delta Theta frat house discovered Henley’s body. The bystander immediately called 911, and shortly after police arrived at the scene.

More details were released today about the tragic incident via UW’s student paper. Henley’s body was actually discovered in a stairwell, but how she died is still under investigation. Currently there is evidence suggesting that this could possibly be a suicide, but authorities still have her death listed as “suspicious”, according to Seattle Weekly.

As a biography, Carly Henley died at the young age of 20. She was an aspiring singer/songwriter, and described herself as having a “passion for music”. She frequently used the social networking sites MySpace, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to share her music with people. Her last video upload on YouTube was a Gavin Degraw cover of “Chariot” on September 3. The bio portion on her twitter accounts says, “Singer/songwriter from Seattle who’s in love with the world!”

Her second to last tweet was on August 31st. It reads:

“I love rainy days…so perfect for staying inside all day and playing guitar”

This is such a shame. She was a tremendously talented girl with a lot of life ahead of her. I truly hope that authorities get to the bottom of this.

We offer you our comment section to leave your condolences.
